As a wildlife artist, I’m captivated by the intricate beauty found in nature. The detailed patterns of feathers on a bird or the textures of fur on a mammal inspire me, sometimes even evoking an abstract quality. I strive to create an illusion of reality, transforming a two-dimensional canvas into a world of depth, shadows, and highlights, bringing my subjects to life.

From my earliest days, making art in some has been integral in life and a bi-coastal upbringing with supportive family have been key to my artistic
growth. Finding peace is the wellspring for all the creativity I have experienced over the years. Whether hand-working in silks, batiks and painted fabrics to
evoke the powerful strength of our ancestral forests or in mixed media, hand cutting and layering my own photographs of delicate and essential marshlands, I wish to express both love and deep respect for the renewing cycles in nature.
