Lords and Ladies
ECCO Art Gallery Studios presents “Lords and Ladies” an exhibition featuring an exciting new collection of mixed media collage/assemblage works by artist Kay Gregg.
“There was something about a big box of vintage brass rubbings and discarded mannequins that appealed to me.”
"Medieval Middles" - merchandiser forms wrapped with the metallic rubbings and embellished with repurposed trimmings and found jewellery - with each regal body there must be the right accessory... Haute Stuff. Enjoy, fellow Maximalists.
This exhibition also includes a selection of profound portraits by Peterborough artist Nancy Simmons Smith. Nancy has been making art for 35 years and exhibiting since 2001.

January 11 - February 11, 2024.
For Auld Lang Syne
Should auld acquaintance be forgot...
ECCO Art Gallery Studios presents “for Auld Lang Syne” an exhibition featuring mixed media collage works by artists Elayne Windsor and Kay Gregg celebrating memories and times gone by through the process of collaging repurposed paper and ephemera including images and stories of the past.
Elayne has a strong art background, nurtured through classes and workshops during her 30 years as an elementary school teacher.
“with my collages I hope to usher you into a new reality. Among the minute fragments in my decollages, partial images are revealed reminding you of moments of travel, work life or everyday life.”
Kay started painting with oils and representational work, then journeyed toward abstract expression.
“a self-described maximalist, I delight in curating and composing - and big, bold colour always foremost in the process.”
Also, introducing latest works from one of ECCO Art Gallery Studios roster favourite, Annette Vlieg. "Connection"... but they can turn away from each other... then what is it about?
Also on exhibit at ECCO Art Gallery Studios are works from the gallery roster of local artists Holly Edwards, Rowena Dykins, Christianna Ferguson, Mary-Ann Johnston, Ann Shier and Pina Romano
