ARNOLD ZAGERIS
Arnold Zageris is a Canadian photographer celebrated for his large-format landscapes that capture some of the most remote and awe-inspiring regions of the world. Over the past four decades, his travels have taken him from the Arctic to the Amazon, with a particular focus on Antarctica, where he documents the continent’s vast glaciers, luminous ice formations, and fragile ecosystems with striking clarity.
Zageris’ practice is rooted in both technical precision and a deep respect for the natural world. His photographs are not only visual records of places few have witnessed firsthand, but also meditations on fragility, resilience, and human responsibility in the face of climate change. His work has been exhibited widely across Canada and internationally, and is held in numerous public and private collections.
Through his lens, Zageris invites viewers into landscapes both monumental and endangered, reminding us of the profound connection between human activity and the planet’s most remote frontiers.

My Art
“Textiles are a lifelong spiritual journey, filled with curiosity about the world. Ideas are generated by studying how textiles are expressed in all cultures. Thread, yarn, cloth, and felt are all tactile, warm, textural, and flush with colour. I realize that weaving is an internal mathematical space, allowing me to organize my ideas properly in place. Textile art interacts on two and three-dimensional platforms. I create free-standing sculptures, handmade paper/silk, felt, and wearable art.
My goal is to infuse the energy of mindful growth in every piece.
