A Pairing of Form and Flora
A Pairing of Form and Flora brings together the work of Shelley Brown and Holly Edwards, two artists whose creative practices are deeply influenced by the landscapes, waterways, and natural rhythms. Both artists begin with nature, but each approaches it through a distinctly personal lens. Their work reflects not only what is observed in the natural world, but also what is remembered, imagined, and felt. Across the exhibition, recognizable forms mingle with abstraction, allowing landscape and flora to become starting points for an exploration of memory, perception, colour, and emotion.
Together, the artists create a thoughtful conversation between observation and interpretation. Their work reminds us that creativity is not limited to the artist alone. As viewers, we also participate—discovering our own associations, narratives, and meanings within each piece.
A Pairing of Form and Flora celebrates the enduring influence of the natural world and the many ways it can be transformed through memory, imagination, material, and personal experience.
