    David Hickey

    About the Artist

David’s paintings and sculptures play with colour, rhythm, and shape, often drawing inspiration from landscapes, flowers, and everyday forms. His bold, expressive style transforms the familiar into something fresh and full of energy.

His career as an artist commenced in Rhode Island where he dedicated over a decade to nurture and teach artistic skills to adults with disabilities and special needs. During this period he honed and developed his artistic abilities through a mentorship in metal work and a jewelry design course at the prestigious Rhode Island School Of Design. In 2004 he moved back home to Ontario to pursue art as a full time career. His art reflects the serene beauty of our Canadian landscape, in particular the many lakes and forests of the Kawarthas where he lives.
